McVan Instruments is a company specialising in the design and manufacture of electronic and environmental instrumentation. To that end McVan Instruments has available resources on a contract basis that include:

  • Generation of Product Specification and Development Plans.
  • General Electronic Design - Analogue and Digital.
  • High Tolerance Machining.
  • Software Generation down to Machine Code level.
  • PCB Layout.
  • Production Drawings.
  • Pilot and Batch Manufacturing.
  • Testing and Calibration.
  • QA Inspection.
  • Bulk or Point of Sale Packing.

 

We have design and development facilities that include:

  • Electronic Design Team.
  • Software Design Team.
  • Mechanical Design Team.
  • Prototype, Pilot and Batch production.
  • Sheet Metal Workshop.

 

This design and batch production facility now services a large customer base including OEM customers for which we design and produce product wholly within McVan Instruments ready for sale under the OEM customer's name.

Our regular customer base includes Danaher (USA), Siemens (Germany), Australian Dept. of Defence and Rye Australia. McVan Instruments exports about 60% of its production predominantly to the EC and the USA.

Currently McVan Instruments and its on-site subsidiary company Avtek Metal Fabrication operates to an ISO/AS9001 Quality Assurance compliant quality system.

For pilot and pre-production runs we have a computer based inventory system that allows rapid procurement and kitting with a minimum amount of overhead.
